Terms of Use

1. Not medical advice

Stool Scout gives general wellness information from an AI's read of a photo. It is not a medical device, can't diagnose or rule out any condition, and can be wrong. Don't use it in place of a doctor. Get medical care for blood in your stool, black or tarry stool, pale or white stool, diarrhea lasting more than 2 days, severe or ongoing pain, unexplained weight loss, or any symptom that worries you. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

3. What you upload

Only upload photos of your own stool, taken with your consent. Don't upload photos of people, faces, or anything illegal, hateful or sexual. Photos are analyzed and discarded (see the Privacy Policy).

4. Handles, squads and the feed

Keep handles and squad names clean: no slurs, harassment, impersonation or personal information. We may rename or remove handles, squads, posts or accounts that break these rules, and may reset scores we believe were gamed.

4b. Pets

Pet reads are general information, not veterinary advice. If Scout flags something, or your pet seems unwell, contact a vet. Links to online vet services are provided for convenience; those services are run by other companies under their own terms.

5. Fair play

Every score comes from a real photo analyzed by the app. Don't reuse, fake or manipulate photos, run scripts, or otherwise game the leaderboard. Scores, weights and ranks are for fun and are estimates.

6. Limits

Free checks are limited per day. The service is provided "as is", without warranties, and may change or stop at any time. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on its results.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. If you keep using Stool Scout after an update, you accept the new terms.
